Here's the thing. You line up the show, already to go. But you don't press play. Over an exquisitely long period of time the imperfections of the recording media cause fluctuations in the surrounding Higgs field subtly altering the masses of the bosons passing through your cortex so as your life unfolds your synapses slowly fire out the eternal and timeless message: 'There was a fella, and he had a dog...'

I pretty much trust your recs and go right in, T. - but you just picked this shower for the name, yes? Because honestly I'd rather have my nuts roasted over a slow flame than listen to more than the 30 seconds of dreck I just sampled. If it's your new favourite band, it's ok, we can still be friends. I'll understand. :-)

no, i can't listen to it either ... i think his pre-hip-hop-fascination music isn't so awful ... i linked it more due to the topic title

here's the only Slo-Mo song i listen to with any regularity, too bad he didn't stay in the same vein:

Here's something that's more recent. All three of these Mardi Gras shows were up there with the most stoned shows ever and had some pretty interesting results. Here is just one night but all 3 had that super mellow vibe.

It's not a whole show in slow-mo, but there are some exquisitely slow performances of certain songs (esp. "China Cat", "Row Jimmy" and "Morning Dew") here: http://www.archive.org/details/gd74-02-24.sbd.windsor.199.sbefail.shnf
In general, 1974 is a good year for slow tempos.
